TEXAS STYLE (PHILLY) CHEESE STEAKS

Cheesesteaks might have been born in Philly, but they have been perfected in this Texas-style version. Spice it up or down, depending on your tastes.


INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 ½ lbs. of thin shredded or sliced steak
  • ½  can/bottle of Shiner Boch beer
  • 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper - (optional)
  • ½ stick of butter
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1 onion (Vidalia is best), diced
  • 2 tbsp. minced garlic or cloved
  • 1 tbsp. of olive oil
  • 2 white or wheat sub rolls
  • Ranch dressing - (optional)
  • Blue cheese dressing - (optional)
  • Sliced mozzarella cheese
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, diced
  • 1 tbsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tbsp. of Franks Red Hot - (optional)
PREPARATION:
  • Chop or cut steak in thin strips or slices. Chop or cut steak in thin strips or slices.
  • Take 1 tbsp. of olive oil and coat/grease down the inside of the Texas Gwok or the Texas Fajita Cooker
  • Add to Texas Gwok... ½  can/bottle of Shiner Boch beer.
  • Add 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper - (optional). ½ stick of butter. 1 bell pepper, diced. 1 onion (Vidalia is best), diced. 2 tbsp. minced garlic or cloved.  1 jalapeño pepper, diced.  1 tbsp. garlic salt.
  • Cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Add steak and simmer for about 8-10 minutes. Cook until done to your satisfaction.
  • Serve with the above left over (optional) ingredients/toppings/dips along with white or wheat sub rolls.  Top off with sliced Mozzarella cheese.  Enjoy
